The hand-guard has three full length Picatinny rails. A recess is machined on the hand-guard to enable the bipod to be stored in the folded position.
Reduced contact between the gas tube and hand-guard minimises heat transfer from the weapon to the Picatinny rails. The hand-guard body and Picatinny rails are manufactured from hard anodised matt black Aluminium alloy.
The hand-guard is secured in position by 2 x matt black stainless steel ‘bridge clamps’. All of the Picatinny rails can be replaced. The hand-guard is fitted to the weapon using a single hexagon key.
